I Howley
Everything I could hope for, really. When I began the immigration process, most of the other Americans I'd spoken to had prepared and submitted their own visa applications; several of them had been delayed by months when they hadn't submitted the right information the first time around. I was panicking a bit about the political situation in the US and felt that hiring you was a great investment to make the process smoother.
Having come through the other side with Residence visas for my family and myself, I am 100% confident that I made the right decision. Paul and team were amazingly organized and kept things right on track. Getting my medical registration took a long time, but that was entirely out of your hands. Once the registration had been awarded in December, you guys had our visa applications submitted within 2 weeks, and kept at INZ to get a decision in a VERY timely manner, delayed only by the holidays.
The only snag - and it was a tiny snag - had to do with our medicals. One of my family members has a prescription medication, and Paul had advised us to get a letter from the prescribing doctor explaining how the disease being treated is unlikely to become serious. We gave him a bunch of reasons why the prescribing doctor didn't know us all that well and wasn't the best person to write the letter. That was true, but of course Immigration NZ ended up wanting a letter from the prescribing doctor. We had a bit of a scramble getting the letter (like, about 7 days, really not much at all). Perhaps Paul could have insisted that we get a letter from the prescribing doctor. But as a professional myself, I completely understand how it can be awkward trying to convince a client that they're wrong. So really I think we hold the blame for this (~7 day, really quite small) delay in getting our visas submitted.
I guess the moral of the story is that the only time our visa application hit a snag was when we didn't take Paul's advice!
