Work Visas are often the first step in a much longer process, enabling you to stay in New Zealand permanently. However for most Work Visas you need the job offer before you can apply and so there are plenty of challenges involved - let us help you navigate the process successfully.
Your skills and our expertise
New Zealand has an extensive set of work visas for those who wish to work in New Zealand on a temporary basis. In some cases a Work Visa will be for your first step towards being able to secure Residence.
There are various types of Work Visas, although most require you to have an offer of employment first, before the Visa can be applied for. Work Visas generally specify the role that you will undertake, the employer you will work for and the location that work can be conducted in.
Securing a Work Visa is often one of the most important steps in any longer- term journey because even though a Work Visa is temporary, it often allows you to then work towards or have the time to apply for Residence.
Most Work Visas are issued under the Accredited Employer Work Visa Scheme, however we also have other Work Visas to cover more specific situations.
Specific Purpose Work Visas - For applicants coming to New Zealand to work for a specific reason, and for a limited period of time. This includes entertainers, machinery installers, senior business professionals or anyone else with a good reason to be in NZ and requiring the right to work.
Religious Work Visas - Work Visas enabling Ministers of religion or other religious workers to enter New Zealand - for some this also offers a potential pathway to residence.
Post-Study Work Visas - Work Visas issued to applicants who have completed a particular course of study in New Zealand.
Seasonal Work Visas - Work Visas issued to allow people to undertake seasonal work in very specific industries.
Family (Partnership) Work Visas - For partners to Work Visa holders or NZ citizens or Residents.
We can undertake a full assessment of your situation to determine what your options might be, how employable we believe you are and how the process can fit together so that you can come to work and then work to stay permanently.
