You might have already made the decision to move, or if you are an employer, you might have decided that you need to consider talent from offshore. The next question is usually - where do I start? With decades of experience in this process, the answer is very simple - the first step is to establish whether you qualify, or in the case of an employer, how can I access that talent and support the visa process.
Deciding to move and actually making the move are two very different things and for employers, often securing talent from offshore is a necessity, that requires considerable upfront research to make sure its actually feasible.
Our first step for everyone, whether you are a single applicant, a family of four or an employer looking to bring skills in to New Zealand, is to start with an initial assessment. We map out the way forward and also address any issues that might be present.
For Applicants
Where the visa process can often go wrong is when people assume their application is “straight-forward” and in fact in our experience even the most simple of applications can quickly become very complicated and at risk of failure. To make sure you are on the right track our assessment process is designed to identify the correct pathway as well as the obstacles that might exist:

Book in a consultation - you can either book in for a brief (free) chat to go over the details or you can confirm a more detailed, one to one discussion with the team over Teams, Zoom or the phone.
Our brief chats are 15 minutes long and give you the basic details you need to know if you qualify and the correct category to pursue (or any issues you might face). Our more detailed consultation, which does carry a small cost, is a far more detailed and in-depth assessment of your options, the process and your overall plan. Many people select both, starting with the brief chat and then following up with the more detailed discussion.

For Employers
For employers our approach is similar, in that we first need to establish the best way to meet your offshore staffing needs. Often this is through the Employer Accreditation scheme, which involves a company becoming “accredited” with INZ to recruit from offshore.
As part of this we need to establish if you will qualify for that process or if you are already accredited, what further steps you might need to complete to secure the required Job Check approvals to support your potential offshore candidate (or someone already here).
