Can I migrate if I have family in NZ?

New Zealand has a range of family-based Visa applications but these generally tend to work for those who are in a relationship with a New Zealand citizen, are the parents of people residing here or are dependent children of those living in NZ permanently.

Other family relationships such as siblings, aunt’s, uncles etc., dont add any benefit to the process. However that also means you dont have to have family to make the move and most migrants qualify based on their skills or contribution to the country.
