Bring your family together in New Zealand
The right pathway for your family depends on your relationship and your family’s immigration status. We can help you understand your options and the evidence and documentation you will need.
Parent residence
For parents wanting to join their children and grandchildren, New Zealand offers a variety of temporary and resident visa options.
There are various requirements for the children sponsoring parents and often a combination of visas is involved, before parents can reside in NZ permanently.
Parent retirement
The parent retirement resident visa category offers parents the ability to invest in New Zealand and to secure a faster pathway to residence.
There are specific requirements for the funds being used to invest, the requirement to have additional settlement funds and an annual income as part of the overall process.
More time with the people who matter
Bringing family in to New Zealand can be both an amazing and very stressful process, with so much at stake. We assist family’s of all circumstances to navigate the complexities the immigration process can offer up.
Visiting parents & grandparents
The Parent Boost Visa offers parents (and grandparents) the ability to spend up to a total of 10 years in New Zealand. We also have the Parent/Grandparent Visa and normal visitor visas, which can all be combined to give parents a substantial amount of time in New Zealand.
However, each of these visas is assessed differently with varying requirements for health, character, insurance and sponsorship obligations by the New Zealand based children.
Partners & children joining you
For partners and dependent children the pathway to residence usually starts with one or more temporary visas, enabling applicants to arrive here sooner and to await the outcome of a future residence application or work their way towards qualifying.
Managing the different visas involved, when to apply and the documents that might be required at each step of the process is at the centre of the service we offer to clients.

Temporary child visas have different age limits and eligibility rules.

They may be able to, depending on your visa and circumstances. Options can include partner work or visitor visas and dependent child visitor or student visas.
