Bring your family together in New Zealand
The right pathway for your family depends on your relationship and your family’s immigration status. We can help you understand your options and the evidence and documentation you will need.
Partner visas
Join your New Zealand citizen or resident visa holder partner. This resident visa requires at least 12 months of living together evidence in a genuine and stable relationship.
For many partners, residence will be the second stage in the process with temporary visas being needed as part of the process as well.
Dependent children
Eligible children, aged 24 years or younger, may be able to qualify for residence with a New Zealand citizen or resident parent.
There are various rules in terms of how INZ determines if a chid is dependent, which involves their age, relationship status and current employment circumstances.
More time with the people who matter
Bringing family in to New Zealand can be both an amazing and very stressful process, with so much at stake. We assist family’s of all circumstances to navigate the complexities the immigration process can offer up.
Visiting parents & grandparents
The Parent Boost Visa offers parents (and grandparents) the ability to spend up to a total of 10 years in New Zealand. We also have the Parent/Grandparent Visa and normal visitor visas, which can all be combined to give parents a substantial amount of time in New Zealand.
However, each of these visas is assessed differently with varying requirements for health, character, insurance and sponsorship obligations by the New Zealand based children.
Partners & children joining you
Depending on your visa situation, you may be able to support temporary and/or resident visa applications for your partner and children. We have a range of visa options under both categories for dependent family members.
The options available will depend on your status in New Zealand, the nature of your relationship and the evidence you can provide to support that.
